Furman Church Music Conference 27-28 January 2022

Furman’s music programme is incredibly impressive and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there as guest clinician in January 2022.  A lively group of conference attendees joined with the excellent student choirs.  I recommend a visit to Greenville S.C. for anyone who hasn’t been there.

Emergency Fund for Cathedral Choirs

The Friends of Cathedral Music (FCM) and the Ouseley Church Music Trust (OCMT) have launched a Cathedral Choirs’ Emergency Fund to support choirs silenced during the COVID-19 national lockdown. Worcester College

Baltimore Boychoir Festival postponed

Durante Requiem published

My urtext edition of Francesco Durante’s Messa de’ morti in C minor with full critical commentary has been published by Peters and will feature in Leipzig’s Buchmesse from 12 -15 March. Baltimore Boychoir Festival

Worcester College, Oxford during lockdown

Stephen continues as Acting  Director of Chapel Music at Worcester College, Oxford despite the current lockdown.  Rehearsals with choristers are continuing remotely and there are weekly services of Choral Evensong at 1800 on Sundays, including musical contributions from organists and members of the choir.
